More often than not, majority of people run after certificates at the initial stage of their career in data analysis or science. However, experience and study revealed that to master data science goes beyond certificate. It is all about what you can do and project you have built that makes you a certified data scientist. Certificates are just there to fill your social media handles not to measure your ability.

Hence, we say that we learn by doing. The effect of building project in data science is needed now than ever when many businesses will be shifting from their tradition way f running business to Information System model. It is only through building project that you can measure the gap between your knowledge and reality.

Not only do you get to learn data science by applying it but you also get projects to showcase on your CV! Nowadays, recruiters evaluate a candidate’s potential by his/her work and don’t put a lot of emphasis on certifications. It wouldn’t matter if you just tell them how much you know if you have nothing to show them! That’s where most people missed the target.
During our days in school, we often see mathematics questions and assume we can solve it until reality dawned on us. What you think you can do may turn out to be zero when you start to build a project. Then, the question is how do we then start? Start building project with that little knowledge of yours and team up with others. You will definitely learn. The truth it some times we forget what we learn, the only thing that makes us to revisit them is when we do project.
